When contributors would prefer not to appear in videos, or you just have audio and wish to use it in a video, animated avatar videos are a really effective way of communicating information.
The biggest project so far involved talking to over 100 care home residents using Zoom during the Covid pandemic. As the Zoom video quality was often very poor, we decided to use hand-drawn portraits of each contributor and to animate these to the recorded voices; we think it’s very effective and each resident also received a free portrait of themselves too!
